Joining the QSO

The QSO is composed of volunteer musicians from communities across the South Shore and the Greater Boston area. We perform a a wide range of music from the symphonic repertoire, from the Baroque masterpieces of Bach to the symphonies of Beethoven and Brahms to modern classics by the likes of Stravinsky, Debussy and Ravel.

Strings

We currently have openings in all string sections. If you are interested in playing with the QSO, we encourage you to come join us for a rehearsal and try it out, no audition necessary. Please contact our personnel manager to make arrangements.

Winds, Brass and Percussion

We currently have an opening for 2nd trombone.  If interested, please contact our personnel manager to arrange an audition.

If you are interested in playing with the QSO but there is no current opening for your instrument, we would be happy to add you to our substitute list. Please contact our personnel manager to arrange an audition.
